It’s not bubble baths and mani-pedis.
It’s not adding routines to your already busy schedule.
In fact, it’s often about REMOVING things.
Saying no more often.
Distancing yourself from relationships that drain your energy.
Doing less strenuous workouts and more introspective and restorative practices.
If you feel like you’re always rushing from one thing to the next, and that you always tell yourself you should be doing more, may I suggest that instead you start doing less?
Looking after yourself should never feel like you’re adding another item to your to-do list.
Instead it should be about creating space.
Space to breathe and connect to yourself and to what you deeply, truly need.
And it should be your priority number 1. Because you cannot pour from an empty cup.
When you don’t feel your best, you can’t give your best to the things and people that matter to you.
If you don’t do it for yourself (which you should), do it for your loved ones.
