The hardest part is to start.
Doing things even when you don’t feel like it is a precious skill.
And if it’s a skill, it means it can be improved.
To me, one of the keys to getting better at starting is to be very clear on why you’re doing it.
I know that after I’ve moved a bit, I feel 10 times better. More relaxed, more energized, more focused.
I also know that if I do it often enough, I’m protecting my health and my resilience to stress.
Is staying on the couch worth more than all that? Sometimes it does
But most times, I just put on the damn clothes.
