Notice how you feel.
Notice where you feel this stretch.
Notice the sensation in this part of the body.
Notice what has changed.
Only when you notice, when you are present, do you learn to use your body in the best way.
Only then do you have agency over your own health.
That’s why when a student asks me if they’re doing a pose right, I often answer “I don’t know. How does it feel?”
Because I don’t care about how a pose looks as long as it is done safely.
And neither should you!
