The answer may surprise you… đ
This is a question that literally ALL of my students have asked me at least once.
And it makes sense, we’ve been taught there’s a right way and a wrong way to do things.
But what if I told you that there isn’t one right way to do a posture.
And that there’s no reason why you should be doing the same posture the same way all the time.
That it depends on many, many things.
- What you are trying to achieve (Build strength? Flexibility? Ease?)
- How the shape feels in your body
- If you have any injuries or conditions
- The actual shape of your body all the way down to your bones
This is good news!
It means that with personal guidance and a little self-study, you can always know when you are doing the postures and movements “correctly”.
The power is yours âš
Have you ever felt like you couldn’t do a posture “correctly”?
