“Mindfulness” is a word that gets thrown around a lot to the point where even I find it annoying.
It’s being pushed on us so much nowadays that it creates a resistance to learning about it and therefore practicing it.
With this post, I want to shed a bit of light on one of the reasons mindfulness isn’t just some BS product of society’s current “positivity trend”.
It’s an incredible tool towards healing. Physically healing as well as trauma recovery. It gives us agency, a sense of control.
It’s nothing spiritual or new-age, I would even say that it’s actually the opposite, since it’s 100% happening in your own flesh and bones. Can’t get more down-to-earth than that!
