“You’re so brave for starting your own business”
I’ve heard that a few times and I always have a hard time accepting this compliment.
It’s true that it was a scary decision to leave the “safety” of employment.
Change is always uncomfortable.
But to be honest, it didn’t feel like a brave thing to do. Just the only way forward.
Staying employed was too uncomfortable, especially as I was building Yoga with Clem on the side and got a taste of what being your own boss is.
✨ Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.
It’s not about courage, it’s about knowing you are wasting your precious time on Earth in a situation that doesn’t fit you anymore.
It’s the ultimate act of self-care.
