Let’s reframe how we think about pain.
As humans, we don’t want pain, of course. We try to avoid it, and when it’s there we just want it to go away, we take a pill and hope for the best.
But injuries, pains, niggles… It’s your body’s way of telling you “you’re doing something wrong, love. Do something about it! ”
Now, a lot of charlat- *coughs* alternative medicine will give you temporary relief by manipulating your bones or whatever, but how can you expect the pain not to come back if you change nothing about how it appeared in the first place?
I’m no stranger to tendonitis and muscle tears, and I know very well that they happen because I tend to do too much and rest too little. My wrist taught it to me once again a few months ago, and I’m still paying the price.
It could have been so much worse though if I didn’t insist on understanding what was happening, and just kept on living my life as if I was not injured.
Pain is not something that should be ignored or pushed away. Health is the most important thing you have.
Again: Health is the most important thing you have
Be inquisitive with your body. Try to understand what you are doing wrong. And then have the courage and discipline to make the change that your body asks for.
And the best way to do that is with support
Do you need help understanding what’s wrong? Do you want to get rid of back pain once and for all?
